AquaArm SaniGuard Primer is a solvent-free, polymer dispersion based primer designed to improve bonding capacity for polymer modified surface sealing, finishes, paints, and tile adhesives that contain water. It hardens the substrate to increase load-bearing capacity and acts as a pre-treatment that prevents rapid water loss from the following material, thereby prolonging working time and reducing shrinkage cracking risks. The primer is colored greenish to identify already primed surfaces and is suitable only underneath sealants and tile adhesives.​

  • Priming absorbent and lightly sanded substrates like gypsum-based construction materials (plaster, interlocking gypsum slabs, boards, screeds)

  • Priming concrete and masonry surfaces

  • Adhesion promoter for surface applied waterproof membranes such as AquaArm SaniGuard

Application Methodology

Step 1 – Surface Preparation:
Ensure the substrate is load-bearing, clean, and dry. Remove contaminants like curing membranes, laitance, loose particles, oils, and greases through mechanical cleaning such as scrubbing, planing, or shot blasting. Abrade and vacuum flow screeds as needed.

Step 2 – Application:
Apply AquaArm SaniGuard Primer evenly using a brush or suitable sprayer at a dosage of approximately 200 g/m² depending on surface porosity.
Allow the primer to dry thoroughly before any subsequent material application.
