ELASTOROOF 2K is a two-component (2K) polyurethane waterproof membrane designed for critical waterproofing on flat and sloping roofs, podiums, terraces, basements, decks, bathrooms, tanks, swimming pools, and all high-traffic exposed concrete, masonry, and screed surfaces. Its advanced 2K formula provides a tough, flexible, seamless, and durable waterproof film that resists ponding water, chemicals, UV light, abrasion, and physical impacts. ELASTOROOF 2K is cold applied, self-leveling, and perfectly suited for harsh climates, with very high crack bridging capacity and resistance to aggressive environments.

Application Methodology

  1. Surface Preparation:
    Ensure the concrete surface is in good condition, clean, and structurally sound before proceeding. Prime all areas as per manufacturer’s recommendations.

  2. Priming:
    Apply the recommended primer to all surfaces, ensuring full coverage.

  3. First Coat:

    • Apply ELASTOROOF 2K directly to the primed concrete using a brush, roller, airless spray, or squeegee.

    • Use 1–1.3 kg per sq. m for the first coat and allow it to cure overnight.

  4. Second Coat:

    • Apply 0.5–1.3 kg per sq. m of ELASTOROOF 2K by brush, squeegee, or airless spray.

    • After application, allow the membrane to cure for 12–24 hours.

  5. Nonslip Finish:

    • While the second coat is still wet, broadcast a nonslip aggregate to achieve a textured, slip-resistant surface (if required).

  6. Hydro-Testing:

    • After curing, perform hydro-testing for at least 72 hours to ensure complete membrane integrity and identify any leaks.

  7. Protection:

    • Upon successful hydro-test, protect the finished membrane with a cement-sand dash coat before installing tiles or any other surfacing, especially in tank and terrace areas.

    • If the membrane is being left exposed, limit foot traffic and avoid mechanical or sharp objects.
