Application Methodology

  • Step 1: Prepare substrate by mechanical roughening or blast cleaning, ensuring all surfaces are sound, clean, dry or matt damp, and free from oil, grease, laitance, dust, or coatings.

  • Step 2: Mix Part A (resin) for 1 minute, add Part B (hardener) and blend both parts thoroughly (use full units only) for 2 minutes using a spiral paddle in an electric mixer (<500 rpm) until a uniform grey, lump-free consistency is achieved.

  • Step 3: Apply mixed adhesive by hard brush or trowel onto the prepared substrate and press the FPO tape into the adhesive bed, ensuring complete contact and coverage.

  • Step 4: Pot life: ~30 min at +30 °C (for 100 g); avoid over-mixing, use all mixed adhesive within the pot life, and protect from condensation and standing water during curing.

  • Step 5: Clean all application tools with Sika Colma Cleaner immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
